What We Offer

First Pond Entertainment is a distribution firm for issue driven documentaries and narratives depicting underrepresented communities. We work with filmmakers, sales companies and distribution companies with the goal of releasing films in the best way possible. Based in Los Angeles, we are in the heart of the film industry and in tune with the current marketplace. This allows us to seamlessly handle all aspects of a release and tap into our vast resources and expertise. Depending on the specific goals of our partner, strategies can include fiscal and promotional partnership development, grassroots screening tours, educational implementation, local advocacy group event planning, and impact measurement. Films are the most powerful vessel for change but you need a partner who isn't afraid to experiment. First Pond Entertainment. Always the first one in the water.

  • Development

We can analyze and provide guidance for crowdfunding, identifying potential sales estimates, and attempt to develop your audience from the start.

  • Film Festival Strategy

Targeting and premiering at the right festival is a crucial first step for independent films. We can work with you to find the festivals that are the best fit for your film and filter out the ones that aren’t.

  • Foreign and Domestic Sales

We can tap into our network of worldwide and domestic buyers in all major territories and present your film for acquisitions consideration and cut through the confusing world of delivery and windowing.

  • Academy Award Qualification

If you would like to qualify your film for an Academy Award nomination, we can create the campaign to meet all requirements and walk you through the paperwork and costs involved.

  • Bookings

Whether you want to self-release and just need a booking service or would like to work on a service-deal structure, we can create the perfect tailor-made campaign for you.

  • Consulting

If you aren’t ready to commit to partnering on your release, already have deals on the table that you are reviewing or just need a helping hand, we can do that! We provide the flexibility of monthly, mini-plans and hourly rates.

Time to change

Films

Every year seems to bring out more and more compelling works. We love to see the envelope being pushed when it comes to more diverse narratives and socially-driven documentaries. Right now we're working on shedding light on critical environmental issues, immigration and trade reform, repairing fractured father-son relationships and figuring out exactly who the man from Reno is. Check out these terrific films and how they are all changing the game.
