“It may be the BEST film superhero story I've seen that doesn't use preexisting comics characters... one with intelligence and craft
-The Black Gate
“While a certain Zack recently crashed and burned at the helm of a super-production, Duane Andersen's SUPERPOWERLESS offers a fresh perspective on the iconic superhero-Simon Laperrière, Fantasia Film Festival Programmer

The Story:
Meet Bob (Josiah Polhemus, The Truth About Cats & Dogs), a typical, frustrated forty-something guy. He spends his days wandering and drinking. One might think that his situation is typical of millions of others who have suffered a lack of purpose once they reach forty. But if one existential crisis weren’t enough… Bob used to be Captain Truth, a masked superhero fighting crime throughout the Bay Area. Now, however, with his superhero powers all but diminished, he’s just Bob, and it’s hard to get used to.
